As our growth continues, we are looking to strengthen our international operations with a
Global Equipment Trainer
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting onsite training sessions related to the commissioning and maintenance of our equipment. You will utilize simulators and carry-on portable models that can travel with you. Your responsibilities will include inspections of equipment and training of our dealers and local trainers. In addition to preparing training materials, you will coordinate training schedules and arrangements with our customers. In this role you will report to the Service Manager.
You will also have full ownership of developing our eLearning platform and its content. The eLearning platform already covers operator training, and it will also be expanded to the maintenance staff training. Our IT experts will support you with the technical features of the eLearning platform when necessary.
As customer satisfaction and ensuring the best possible customer experience are at the heart of Sleipner's values, we expect you to support our customer service team with the technical issues when needed.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- Experience in operating mining excavators, experience with other mining machinery is an advantage
- Knowledge of the mining industry and an understanding of HSE policies (health, safety, environment)
- Strong communication skills and ability to get your message through when working both onsite and online with customers and stakeholders from various cultures and backgrounds
- The ability to organize, navigate, and solve problems in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment
- A proactive mindset, goal-orientation, and ability to work under pressure when needed
- A genuine interest and willingness to travel internationally up to 70–120 days per year. The amount of travelling days is expected to decrease to 50–80 per year following the development of eLearning platform
- Excellent command of English language; proficiency in Finnish or other languages is considered as an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Basic understanding of equipment maintenance will be considered as an advantage.

Our headquarters is in Jyväskylä, Finland, but you can be based anywhere in Finland or in Europe.
